Is The Los Zetas Story True?
IS THE 'ZETA ATTACK' STORY TRUE?
IT WOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE IF THE BORDER WERE SECURE
Although a published report quo
ting official police and government officials refutes what became a viral story Saturday, an unusual lack of television coverage of the alleged takeover of ranches near Laredo, Texas, by Zeta gunmen raises questions.
The head of the Texas Nationalist Movement said Sunday that whether the reports are true or not, the very fact that so much credence was given to them would never have been an issue if the U.S.-Mexico border were secure.
Several organizations reported Saturday that two ranches near Laredo had been overrun by members of the Mexican drug gang Los, either following or during a night-long gunbattle with the Mexican Army in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, took over two ranches in the Las Minas Industrial Park area northwest of Laredo, near Mines Rd. and Minerales Annex Rd about 10 miles NW of I-35.
That story was refuted later in the day by reporter Nick Georgiou in the Laredo Morning Times newspaper. Georgiou's piece quoted sources within the Laredo Police Department, Border Patrol and FBI as saying they "knew nothing" about any such takeover. To date, however, no photos or video footage has emerged refuting the original report published by the blogger Digger's Realm.
Another enterprising independent news source, reporter Jim Kelley of the Tucson (Ariz.) Citizen.com, said he had heard from Laredo City Councilman Hector Garcia flatly denying the report and indicating that it appeared to stem from a disagreement between two ranchers. Kelley reports he has also been unable to get a direct connection with anyone in law enforcement, however.
Mexican Cartels Invade Texas
TNM: ZETAS' INVASION OF LAREDO
IS CLEAR INDICATION TEXAS MUST SECEDE
The unverified occupation Saturday of two ranches near Laredo, Texas by the Mexican drug gang Los Zetas once again clearly indicates the federal government's refusal to perform its constitutional duties and underlines the need for Texas independence, the head of the Texas Nationalist Movement said.
Multiple news sources are now reporting that members of the Los Zetas cartel, either following or during a night-long gunbattle with the Mexican Army in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, took over two ranches in the Las Minas Industrial Park area northwest of Laredo, near Mines Rd. and Minerales Annex Rd about 10 miles NW of I-35.
The report was refuted by a report from the Laredo Morning Times later in the day, quoting both local and federal agencies saying no much attack had taken place and no standoff was in progress.
"Once again, the failure of the United States government to fulfill its Constitutional duty of defending our border from invasion goes to point out the most compelling reason Texas must be independent – we must have the ability to defend ourselves," TNM President Daniel Miller said. "If necessary, Texas Governor Rick Perry must act unilaterally at this point to move Texas' military forces to the border to defend our citizens."
Earlier this week, Miller had warned prophetically that the Mexican drug lords might try to "carve out their own little kingdoms" by occupying land on the U.S. side of the border, and there are some reports they have already done so in Arizona as well. Miller said following Thursday's ruling by the International Court of Justice in The Hague that secession does not violate international law that a race is on.
"Texas independence is inevitable at this point," he said. "It's a foregone conclusion, our cultural and political differences with the ruling government are too vast to bridge any other way. The question is, who will control Texas' secession – the people of Texas, or drug lords from Mexico?"
The Laredo story was broken by a report at Diggers Realm, which quotes a leader of the San Diego Minutemen identified as Jeff Scwilk as saying he had been informed by Laredo police that a standoff was underway between federal Border Patrol and other agents and the Zetas.
KOSOVO SECESSION DECISION REINFORCES LEGALITY OF SECESSION
Thursday’s ruling by the International Court of Justice in The Hague on whether the 2008 secession from Serbia by Kosovo violated international law takes a bite out of statists’ arguments against secession by Texas, Texas Nationalist Movement President Daniel Miller said.
“The recent opinion of the ICJ regarding the independence of Kosovo has tremendous meaning for
The world court ruled that Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence from

He added that the court’s ruling merely reaffirms what TNM and other movements have maintained for years.
Texas Nationalists Plan To Sue Mexico For Return Of Alamo Flag
The Texas Nationalist Movement is preparing for a lawsuit against Mexico for the return of artifacts returned to Mexico City during the Texas Revolution.
“It has been known for some time that the Mexican government is in possession of the true Alamo flag and many other artifacts captured during their invasion of Texas and we want them back,” TNM president Daniel Miller said. “We are going to initiate the suit in federal court and will appeal to the International Court of Justice in The Hague if necessary.”
The move is part of a longer-sought exchange of artifacts recovered by each side during the Texas Revolution of 1835-36.
An article in the Texas Observer relates the tale of a 1998 expedition by Texas officials to Mexico City, seeking to recover the flag of the First Company of Texan Volunteers from New Orleans, dubbed the “New Orleans Greys” because of their distinctive uniforms.
The two companies of riflemen were welcomed by the settlers of East Texas, who gifted them with, according to a Texas Observer article by Lucius Lomax, “…a flag, made of blue silk, about the size of a bath towel, bordered by white fringe. The silk featured the likeness of an eagle, wings spread, and below the eagle the words, ‘First Company of Texan Volunteers from New Orleans.’"
Long Hot Summer
As many of you witnessed on Tuesday night on the show Our Constitution: Foundation and Principles with host Gerry Donaldson (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/texas-perspective/2010/06/09/our-constitution-foundation-and-principles), he interviewed a sitting Texas Representative about Texas Independence. The statements from Representative Berman were typical of politicians from Washington D.C. and Austin Texas.
When questioned about independence for Texas, his statements went from “It will never happen" to "the legislature is not in session" to "the Democrats will leave the State" to deflecting the question by stating he was a Vietnam Veteran.
WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP from a Texas Representative! How about an answer?
What he did say, my friends, is that the people of Texas must be heard and then the Texas Legislature will begin to listen. Think of what the people are saying.
Fellow Texans, it is now our long, hot summer of activism as it has been for political movements in the past. This is a call for Texans who are of the mindset of freedom and independence to understand that the political wind will guide the spineless politicians in Austin.
WE MUST BE THAT POLITICAL WIND AND THEY WILL LISTEN!!!!!

The TNM is offering to board any illegal alien on a commercial bus and give them a free one-way ride from Presidio, Texas – the Texas “exit station” where government agents dump thousands of apprehended illegal aliens — to Washington D.C. ”We may later expand the end destination to include the MSNBC Studios in New York, too,” Miller said.
That offer is open to those in this country illegally no matter their national origin.
“We don’t care if you’re Australian, Pakistani, Nigerian, Chinese, Central American, Russian, British, Somalian or Mexican,” Miller said. “If you’re in this country illegally, we’d like to give you a free ride to the place where all the freebies get dispensed.”
Miller said TNM decided to weigh in on the illegal-immigration issue in support of
All You Need Is About Four Percent
The general consensus about Colonial history is that the colonies rose up in a united front to secede from the
Some scholars have determined that as few as 10-15 percent of the colonists supported the secession and Revolutionary War. You must remember that colonists were FIRST British subjects, then became secessionists. There were big chunks of the colonies that supported the King and wanted nothing to do with separation from
So, history shows us that liberty can be won for all by a select minority.
The Texas Nationalist Movement is currently pushing a petition drive in
This is a well-planned, well-organized effort by the TNM. They are light years ahead of any other American state in which citizens are contemplating secession. If the strategy to force the vote is not successful, it will not be for a lack of heroic effort.
I’d like to offer a ray of hope as the TNM moves forward: To all in the TNM leadership, and all of the TNM members working to get those signatures, keep in mind that you don’t need 50% plus 1 of the voters.
All you need is about 4 to 6 percent to win.
Here’s a little something I learned from a wizened old political consultant. It’s a formula on how most elections pan out. Local or national, the numbers work about the same, and they’ve worked this way for decades.
Let’s draw a target…kind of a bullseye. Then we’ll sort it out and see what the rings mean. Forgive me for my freehand drawing skills, but I think you’ll get the idea.
TNM Radio Adds Constitutional Expert Donaldson
Constitutional scholar Gerry Donaldson, whose "Our Constitution: Foundation and Principles" show has been a fixture on Tuesday nights on the Patriots Heart Network on BlogTalk Radio, is bringing his show to the Texas Nationalist Movement's lineup.
Donaldson will keep his 8-10 p.m. Central time slot as he moves to the TNM network, joining "Let's Talk Texas," hosted by Cary Wise on Mondays from 8-10 p.m., and "Texas Perspectives," hosted by TNM President Daniel Miller and VP Lauren Savage from 8-10 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Donaldson, who also heads up drawaline.org, a website dedicated to promoting state sovereignty, has been a member of the Texas Nationalist Movement for several years, and says that although his show focuses on the U.S. Constitution, the messages reinforces what the movement stands for.
"I spoke with president Miller and asked if I should change what the show was about, and he said no, it's great just the way it is," Donaldson said. "I have been educating on the principles of constitutional government and the bill of rights for years, and that is fundamental to what the movement is all about.
"Founding fathers like Patrick Henry, George Mason, John C. Calhoun, these are the people who understood the limitations the Constitution put on the federal government," he added. "These are the same principles behind what we are doing."
Miller welcomed the addition, saying that Donaldson's expertise is invaluable.
"The Texas Nationalist Movement stands here because the federal government is not obeying the Constitution which is supposed to limit its powers," Miller said. "Having an expert like Gerry to explain this both to our members and to those who are curious, helps us continue to educate."
"What is not normally remembered or taught in public school is that the 13 original colonies were founded by the educated," Donaldson said.
"Most colonists were religious or economically oppressed minorities in the countries they had come from who had educated themselves and their children to overcome adversity.
"These were not the compliant, uneducated peasants, and serfs of their feudal lords. These were people who read extensively and taught their children the historical foundation of America and the principles they needed to advance our country and their position in life," he added. "This radio show is for educating Americans on these Foundations and Principles in order to restore our great Republic."
